Teaching Crypto 101, Making a Pearl Necklace, New Sponsor, More Common S3nse speakers and more

Creating a world-class tech conference is an art. We combine meticulous planning with innovative thinking to deliver an unforgettable event. Discover how we turn vision into reality with precision and creativity.

Right now, crypto feels... surreal. Cold suits. Agentic payments. Internet capital markets. Tokenized everything. Is that bad? Not at all.

We got what we wanted. Institutions are here. Family offices, fund-of-funds, and HNWIs no longer dismiss crypto as a scam. The infrastructure works. Decentralized, permissionless, censorship-resistant blockchains quietly settle billions of dollars every day.

We won. So why can’t I celebrate? Why does it all feel... empty?

Why am I still obsessing over teaching Crypto 101, onboarding local merchants, and convincing people to pay with crypto for a coffee? If crypto is becoming the financial rails for AI agents, why bother with humans at all?

On Tuesday night, I did exactly that anyway cuz you know #YOLO (and I don’t have a boss to tell me not to)

As you know, for the past 4 years, I’ve organized crypto events, for crypto peeps. Preaching to the choir. Bringing together builders, hackers, and cypherpunks and I love it. So why go out of my way to reach the no-coiner world? Especially here in the Netherlands, where a cashless, instant, nearly free iDEAL payment system makes the pain crypto solves almost invisible.

The truth is... I don’t know. I’m searching for something.

What started as a marketing campaign to onboard merchants around the Common S3nse venue unexpectedly turned into an existential crisis. It made me question my last nine years in crypto and wonder what still makes my cypherpunk heart beat.

What I do know, is that I’m pouring all my love and efforts into Cypherpunk Week and Common S3nse, to gather the best and because
